In 2017, SSW issued an RFP on behalf of the region for Chromid Culture Media. As a result of this RFP, BD, Alere, Oxoid and Biomerieux were all awarded as preferred vendors for particular Chromid media products. During the term of this agreement BD and Biomerieux products were not purchased and therefore these agreements were not extended. The Micronostyx and Alere Oxiod product supply agreements were extended until July 31, 2022. Starting August 2022, Oxiod gave pricing until the future RFP could take place.
