The Vermont Agency of Transportation, hereinafter referred to as AOT, is seeking contractor services to convert logs to timbers, boards, and dimensional lumber. AOT currently cuts thousands of trees a year and is looking for additional avenues to utilize this precious resource. Currently AOT harvests hardwood trees for firewood to heat many AOT facilities, but does not have a constant use for softwood trees. Many of the AOT facilities consistently need or request building materials for roadway work, facility upgrades and sideboards for dump trucks.
