LEGAL NOTICEREQUEST FOR PROPOSALSThe Taylor County Commissioners’ Court will be receiving sealed proposals until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, 2022 for R.F.P. 2022-502 Property & Machinery Insurance. The Proposals will be received at the County Purchasing Department, 600 Pecan Street, Abilene, Texas, 79602, no later than the above specified time.Award will be made on a lump sum basis.

The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is NAICS code 811310 – Commercial and Industry Machinery and Equipment (except Automotive and Electronic) Repair and Maintenance. The current size standard for this NAICS code is $8M. Please reference the attached RFP for the Performance Work Statement (PWS), as well as all applicable provisions and clauses. 

Also, the replacement of engine exhaust and air intake systems; removal of the existing engine housings; the replacement of five catwalk segments in pump bays 1 thru 5. The addition of a new Owner furnished tank farm catwalk. The work requires that only one pump can be offline at a time; therefore, Contractor has to schedule all work associated with each pump to be completed before another pump can be taken offline.

To accomplish these major features, the scope will include the following items: 1) Fabricate ten (10) new spillway tainter gates; 2) Remove and dispose of the existing spillway tainter gates, existing lifting equipment, and lifting equipment machinery base; 3) Work platform to install the new spillway tainter gates; 4) Install the spillway tainter gates and gate lifting machinery equipment, electrical features, and install new lifting gate machinery

This requirement is for NSWCPD Divisions 41 and 43, which are responsible for Auxiliary Machinery Systems, and Hull, Sail, and Machinery Systems, respectively. Further, NSWCPD, as the Division's Machinery Engineering Directorate, is the Navy’s agent for the coordination and planning of all the engineering and technical support services for Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) machinery and systems.
