The ADMS Test Bed is a key capability of NREL’s Advanced Research on Integrated Energy Systems (ARIES),1 a national research capability at NREL that addresses the challenges associated with integrating distributed energy resources (DERs) into the broader power system.
ARIES combines the capabilities at the Energy Systems Integration Facility (ESIF) with integrated energy system facilities located on NREL’s Flatirons Campus.

It will also equip communities with world-leading analytical tools, expertise, and access to the Advanced Research on Integrated Energy Systems (ARIES) research platform, which allows communities to validate their clean energy solutions prior to deployment.

NREL’s Flatirons Campus is home to research assets in support of the Department of Energy (DOE)/ NREL’s Advanced Research in Integrated Energy Systems (ARIES). ARIES research is conducted in five specific research and development pillars including power electronics which is the pillar most closely aligned with this project.
