This Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) sets forth research areas of interest of the Army Research Office (ARO). This BAA is issued under FAR 6.102(d)(2), which provides for the competitive selection of basic and applied research proposals, and 10 U.S.C. 2358, 10 U.S.C. 2371, and 10 U.S.C. 2371b, which provide the authorities for issuing awards under this announcement for basic and applied research.

A cost-no fee award was issued to The Regents of the University of California, Los Angeles against Broad Agency Announcement W912HQ22S0001 to complete fundamental research as detailed in their proposal entitled “Passive-Active Modular Stormwater Biofilter Designs to Enhance PFAS Removal in Variable Flow Conditions.”

It is intended that programs under the BAA include Fundamental research related to this mission. 

The mission of the RTI Directorate is to develop and integrate command, control, communications,computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance technologies that enable informationdominance and decisive lethality for the networked Soldiers. The RTI Directorate provides the U.S.Army with secure communications and networking technologies through research and development(R&D) innovations. This BAA invites industry to submit innovative science and technology (S&T)proposals that address the technical portfolio areas of the RTI Directorate: (1) Soldier & PlatformMission Equipment, (2) Spectrum Dominance & Intelligence, and (3) Advanced Technology.
