Division of AgricultureLivestock Industry Meeting Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.  The Division of Agriculture will host a livestock meeting on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the conference room at the Division of Agriculture, 1800 Glenn Highway, Suite 12, Palmer, Alaska. 

The project outcomes will assist the agriculture and agri-food industry in its economic recovery after the pandemic and will enable the industry to grow the Canadian economy in future years.

The overall project will assist the agriculture industry to secure a highly skilled workforce to grow the industry in future years by identifying skills most in need, training job seekers with the skills in highest demand and assist employers in recruiting and retaining staff.

The purchased resource will also provide information that will assist GAO in completing congressionally requested analyses examining executive branch programs in agriculture, rural development, and food policy. GAO often needs news sources to provide documentary qualitative or quantitative evidence to support their analyses findings.

The Maryland Department of Agriculture's (MDA) Animal Health Program prevents and controls infections and contagious diseases in Maryland livestock and poultry. The Salisbury Animal Health Lab plays a key role in the agriculture industry on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The new lab building will replace the department's original lab that was built in 1953, and has been in need of major renovation.

SPEDA seeks to promote Somerset-Pulaski County's rich agricultural heritage and strong presence in the state's agriculture industry through the construction and operation of a facility equipped to host agricultural exposition events, among other events that generate revenue and provide entertainment or recreational opportunities for residents.
