The Contractor will use an electronic cost planning software with RS Means cost data as the UPB. The Contractor will provide record drawings which conform to the electronic computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software currently utilized by the Directorate of Public Works (DPW). The Contractor will perform work in accordance with (IAW) local policies, local and national codes, and industry and trade organization standards.

This PO will provide access to existing CADD Suite software and provide proprietary maintenance and support, for PennDOT Computer-Aided Design and Drafting/Geographic Information. The Department uses the software for the production of highway and bridge design plans for construction projects.

The FAA has a requirement to procure Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), Electronic Drawing Management System (EDMS), and engineering design software subscription renewals for the Bentley Suite utilized by the FAA.  Bentley Systems, Incorporated is the only known firm capable of meeting the FAA’s specific requirement. 

This package is integral to the machine and will allow the VA to readily translate parts designed in existing Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD) software to toolpath readable by the machine controller. The simulation will help ensure that no toolpaths are executed that would cause the machine to self-intersect or crash , thus protecting the machine and the operator.
