The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) is conducting Market Research for a follow-on 5-year requirements contract for ongoing Nuclear Safety Cross Check Analysis (NSCCA)/Performance Analysis and Technical Evaluation (PATE)/Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) work for the Minuteman III nuclear missile weapon system.
The project is to construct a 6,600 SF single-story Weapons Research Experimentation Control Center (WRECC). The WRECC is a multipurpose facility containing remote monitoring control rooms, open office workspace with workstations, offices, and conference rooms. The WRECC facility also contains mechanical, electrical, and communications rooms, restrooms, a janitor room, a nursing mothers’ room, and a breakroom.
The Air Force Global Strike Command (AFGSC), in partnership with the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) and the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL), is sponsoring the 2016 Nuclear Deterrence Operations IR&D Technology Interchange Meetings sometime in the May 2016 timeframe, with venue likely to be in New Mexico. The invitation is open to all Industry IR&D participants, including large and small businesses and academia.
