The Gila National Forest requires service to calibrate and repair remote air quality monitors. This service allows the transmittal of air quality related data from the monitors (e-sampler) to the Interagency Real Time Smoke Monitoring website. Region 3 currently has 21 active eSamplers. This data is used throughout the year for monitoring air quality related to both prescribed fires and wildland fires.
