The 27th Special Operations Wing is searching for potential contractors to repair and maintain all hangar doors and tail doors for the aircrafts in order to sustain fully functional hangar systems on Cannon AFB (identified in the attached draft PWS).

This is a sources sought notice to evaluate the commercial marketplace's capabilities to support maintenance/repair services for the aircraft hangar doors on Kadena AB and all-encompassing partners. The government intends to award a 5 year contract (base + 4 options). The official solicitation will be released around mid-February 2024 with the anticipated award data of mid-March 2024.

This contract work will consist of providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to inspect and perform preventive maintenance on eighteen (18) aircraft maintenance hangar fabric panel doors and (1) one steel hangar door annually located at the Vermont Air National Guard, South Burlington, VT and four (4) metal doors located at the Army Aviation Facility, South Burlington, VT.

Weather-stripping and foam detailed in this statement of work shall be replaced to improve the functionality of the aircraft hangar door and improve energy efficiency of the subject hangar. Additionally, all door bumpalongs should be inspected, for mechanical integrity, due to mechanical stresses that are acting on the sliding doors.
