By seeking another vendor, the NOAA Aircraft Operations Center would not be able to obtain this required FAA Certification for our operations. Operations would be negatively impacted, with the potential for Aircraft on the Ground (AOG) status for N68RF. The new facility will combine the operational missions of the Remote Piloted Aircraft Operations Center (RPA), Distributed Communications Ground System (DGS), and Targeting Intelligence Production Squadron (IS) the consolidated 3 missions will operate in the Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility (SCIF). The facility will be utilized for both operational missions and training activities for all three operations.

The Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) -Squadron Operations Center (SOC) Enterprise Program provides for the sustainment of RPA-SOC mission systems, the operations and maintenance of equipment, and design/development of systems in support of combat lines.

Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) utilizes two SOCs to execute its RPA mission. The RPA Operations Center (ROC) is located at Cannon Air Force Base, NM and the Hurlburt Squadron Operations Center (H-SOC) is located at Hurlburt Field, FL.
