The 1st Special Operations Contracting Squadron at Hurlburt Field Air Base, Florida intends to establish a Firm Fixed Price contract for Base Alert Warning System Maintenance Services.
The system shall be integrated with associated Network Centric Alerting System (NCAS), automated telephone (robo) calls, Simple Message Service (SMS) text alerts, simultaneous LMR and Giant Voice activation.
Specifically, the USCG is to acquire system's user training on the newly updated Coast Guard Alert & Warning System. Since only the original updater of the system (AtHoc, Inc.) can provide the training on the USCG's custom system, this shall be a simplified acquisition sole source award to that company..
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) program provides the capability to notify people in America and visitors of impending natural and man-made disasters, and ensure that under all conditions, the President of the United States can alert and warn people in America and transient populations.
Provide technical assistance to vendors of IPAWS-related alert and warning applications, systems, devices and evaluation and recommendations to improve alert and warning systems.
