The PUC provides power to the Airport through two PUC-owned substations located on SFO property, one of which is the Airport Substation.This Project will replace the two existing Airport Substation transformers with three new 55-megavolt-ampere (MVA) transformers (one will serve as a backup), the existing switchgear equipment, and other supporting electrical systems.
