Boarding of animals seized by the City under various authorities, including but not limited to, the animals being abused, the animals being abandoned, the animals being designated as dangerous or aggressive, etc. The proposal sheet submitted should include the per unit cost per day for each type of animal with itemized charges for each element needed for care of the animal during a 24-hr period. 2.
Expected elements of Lockhart Animal Shelter Upgrades will include: 1) Updating the outdoor kennels with the addition of concrete flooring and drainage for the kennels 2) Removing the chain link divider walls in the Main Indoor Animal Kennel and replacing with cinderblock divider walls. 3) Updating the animal intake by improving functionality and keeping existing drainage operable. 4) Updating the isolation area by adding new concrete flooring and

The renovated facility will provide exciting and engaging reptile and amphibian exhibits, education opportunities, animal holding spaces, visitor amenities including public restrooms, staff offices and support spaces. These program elements will reflect NZCBI’s commitment to animal and staff welfare and well-being.
Limited preclinical animal studies could be proposed by the applicants, if such studies are integral part of the applications and if they are needed to test the select elements of the standardized protocols in animal models before such protocols could be tested in humans.
