The K552921 is required because the diploe assemblies being procured must be form, fit, function and environmentally compatible with the other NWR antenna elements already installed at fielded sites, which are also model K552921’s. The original equipment (Kathrein K552921) was subjected to, and required to meet stringent qualification and environmental testing requirements.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to award a firm fixed price contract for 120 Replacement Kathrein Dipole Antenna Elements in accordance with the Statement of Need for National Logistics Support Center in Grandview, MO.
