The Missouri National Guard Family Warrior Support Division requires Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) Books to provide ASIST Training to Soldier Gatekeepers as required in AR 600-63, ALARACT 133-2010, and ALARACT 079/12. To train the ASIST two-day/16-hour Suicide Intervention course, trainers must be certified by completing LivingWorks 5-day Train the Trainers course and utilize ASIST training material. ASIST is the Gold Standard of Suicide Intervention and is integral to the MCAS Iwakuni Suicide Intervention program.
