The funds will be used to support the development, modernization, and diversification of RAPs, particularly as a support for state reemployment and recovery efforts; partnership and alignment to support workforce system alignment; increasing the number of apprentices enrolled in RAPs, including from under-represented populations; and innovation in apprenticeship expansion efforts to include program development and recruitment strategies.

The funds are used to support statewide apprenticeship expansion efforts such as developing and implementing a variety of strategies to increase the number of apprentices in RAPs, increasing the diversity of apprentices; expanding apprenticeship opportunities in new industries; increasing capacity to support the development; and oversight of apprenticeship programs statewide.
