This document describes a metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) system for the Metal Workingand Machining Shop Set (MWMSS). The MWMSS is an assemblage of machinists cutting,measuring, and welding equipment integrated into two one side expandable 8’x8’x20’ mobileshelters. The MWMSS was designed to support the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 91Ethat combined the previous 44E (Machinist) and 44B (Metalworker/Welder).
It is for the Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program (SERDP) entitled, Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing for Aircraft Components. The period of performance is 24 months.
