Description of Supplies/Services This acquisition is for a technical refresh of the existing signal generator (SIGGEN) for use in the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS). The primary function of the SIGGEN is to generate L1 and L5 signals for transmission from a Geosynchronous Uplink Subsystem (GUS) site to a WAAS GEO satellite.

The modification will allow for the continued WAAS system efficiency, performance improvements and the integration of Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) satellite Seven (7) into WAAS. The fully approved sole source justification has been uploaded below.
The system makes use of GPS measurements or corrections obtained from a stationary base station to refine its positioning estimate using established computational techniques such as those associated with differential GPS, Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) GPS and/or the Local Area Augmentation System (LAAS).
