The Program also develops policy, and oversees and administers the public art process for major rezoning development projects. The Public Art Program has been commissioning public art for more than 25 years including Artist-Initiated Projects, selected through an open call in which artists propose ideas and sites for artworks in public spaces.
Master Plan to guide the execution of the City’s public art program, in alignment with the 2021 updated Public Art Ordinance, Art Policies and Art Procedures, 2030 General Plan vision and goals of the Richmond community and the Public Art Advisory Committee (“PAAC”).
DIF grants will support organizations whose work is rooted in intersectional cross-movements, is collaborative, and aims to build a more vibrant, just, and joyful world for people with disabilities—from arts and culture, to policy and advocacy.
