Proposed renovations to the Park include upgraded infrastructure and the addition of a new, state-of-the-art, approximately 1,400 square foot multipurpose community building, stage, and outdoor performance venue to support the creative arts, music, and entrepreneurial culture rooted in the City of Berry Hill and to provide meeting space for governmental and community meetings.
The building currently has an elevated stage, kitchen, and basketball court, but the new facility would not be used for athletic events. The space will be rented to the public. The building design needs to take into account the waterfront location of the facility, and, the historic nature of the building and community commitment to preserving its exterior appearance while making the building accessible to all physical capabilities.
The Civic Center includes 5 buildings - City Hall/ Community Policing Center, Community Center, Senior Center, Council Chamber/ Performing Arts Center, and Parking Structure.
