Three locations have been chosen as part of this phased project, shown below, to transform with a mural. The San Antonio River Authority (River Authority), in partnership with Bexar County, seeks to commission a large-scale, functional artwork for the third phase of San Pedro Creek Culture Park (Culture Park) which is currently under construction. The artwork must provide (and demonstrate) water quality improvements, one of the main goals of Culture Park, by capturing run off from the Interstate 35 bridge overpass.

Artists/teams have approximately 4 weeks to prepare and submit preliminary concepts, including the presentations for Phase 3. Phase 3 | The Selection Committee will select the finalist.

During the design phase, the specific location for incorporating artwork into the park will be identified through a collaborative exploration between the project design team and Artist. The Artist will design, fabricate, transport the artwork, and consult during installation of artwork on a timeline that parallels the park project schedule.
