One-Two Sentences This project will program and renovate 7,700 ASF of lab space in the B104 suite in the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) Main Building (1982).
The Project approximately consists of: The project will construct new standalone laboratory/lecture/research building to be named the IVC Brawley ¿ Lithium Research Hub / STEM Building (Academic Building II #102) located on a vacant development site on the IVC Brawley master plan. This project will provide a 43,000 ASF/66,000 GSF STEM research and instructional facility.

This project will provide a 43,000 ASF/66,000 GSF STEM research and instructional facility.
Other Details The Project approximately consists of: The project will construct a new laboratory/lecture/research building to be named the New North Life Sciences Building located on a hillside site location on the main campus. This project will provide a 38,000 ASF/67,000 GSF STEM research and instructional facility.
Formal LEED GBCI certification is required for the ARC-ASF. The Base work also includes the demolition of an existing skeet/trap range and construction of a new skeet range with overlapping grenade range targets on a nearby site. The site of the new ranges is approximately one (1) mile from the site of the ARC-ASF.
The preliminary program totals about 60,000 ASF (Assignable Square Feet) and 93,000 GSF (Gross Square Feet) on five floors. The preliminary program elements include: Office: 32,000 ASF Optometry Clinic: 25,000 ASF Eyewear Gallery: 3,000 ASF Other retail: 3,500 ASF Building The project will require demolition of existing buildings totaling 14,000 GSF, and construction on a constrained site of a 5-story office and clinic building.
