This is a biennial gathering that keeps the community abreast of the latest science and exposes participants to many aspects of the climate change field. EcoAdapt is the only authorized provider of the National Adaptation Forum.
PolSIR builds on the team’s extensive experience in all aspects of Earth observations and climate science, as well as on earlier successful Earth Science Technology Office (ESTO)-funded technology development, in particular the successful spaceflight demonstration of the 883-GHz cloud radiometer for the IceCube CubeSat mission led by the PolSIR Deputy PI at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC).
Our Earth is also studied to gain information and insight into weather, climate, and other aspects of Earth's global environment. To facilitate this research, SSEC develops new observing tools for spacecraft, aircraft, and ground-based platforms; models atmospheric phenomena; and provides support services for NSF-sponsored cold-regions research in both of the polar regions and high altitudes.
Early this year, City of Tucson Mayor and Council adopted the city’s climate action plan, Tucson Resilient Together, committing the city to pursue carbon neutrality for city operations by 2030 and by 2045 community wide. Solar Energy has been and continues to be a key aspect in advancing the City’s climate goals.
The County of Sonoma desires to explore the feasibility of the site being dedicated to producing and demonstrating the practical solutions necessary for climate change adaptation. These solutions could involve all aspects of the campus development (e.g. water, power, transportation, facilities) and exemplify innovative and state-of-the art adaptation technology.
