The United States Air Force (USAF) has a requirement for depot-level overhaul of the C-5 trailing edge flap gearbox assemblies. The Government is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the overhaul expertise, capabilities, and experience to meet qualification requirements for the overhaul.
This requirement is for a firm-fixed price contract with 3-1 year Options for Hose Assembly Non Metallic-Overflow NSN: 4720-01-326-0815;Part Number 17G4200005-1. The Basic is for Qty of 5 each (includes first article), Test Plan (1 LO), and Test Report (1 LO). The 3-1 year Options are based on Qty range of 1-2 each. A Hose Assembly Non Metallic-Overflow routes excess oil from the IDG overflow port to the three gallon pail.
Overflow, other shipments, and oversize containers must be constructed IAW ASTM-D6251. Each container must be caulked during assembly. Overflow boxes and other shipments must be limited to one per shipment. Other shipments are small HHG shipments that normally require a lesser size box than specified in Commercial Spec ASTM-D4169-01 or SDDC Pamphlet 55-12.
