This project will assess essential park infrastructure improvements required to ensure public safety, protection of critical habitats, and to provide a high quality visitor experience.
Request for Proposals: RDCK Community Services - Public Engagement Projects Project Description :The Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) is requesting proposals from qualified agencies to lead public engagement processes on two different projects.
The plan will include a summary of findings from the Resilience Assessment (providing high-level background and context on risks, social and economic changes, stressors and shocks, and assets to be protected) as well as prioritized strategies for advancing comprehensive resilience developed in collaboration with stakeholders.
Requested services include review of City financial data, policies, and documents, update of capital project cost estimates, evaluation and recommendation of utility rate and SDC methodology and implementation strategy, assessment of discounted or scaled SDCs for affordable housing projects, recommendation of funding strategies for the Community Development Department, assistance with public engagement activities, and other related services.
(b) The assessment shall evaluate the existing condition of Architectural, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical components, systems and services. The Consultant’s personnel shall acquire and maintain this security clearance for the duration of the assignment. (c) The content and format of the Building Condition Assessment shall be in conformance with ‘Protocols for Building Condition Assessment’ published by the National Research Council.
Conduct a human services needs assessment and formulate a needs update and strategic plan. Public engagement is a significant piece of the work.
