TCHC started the Backflow Prevention Program in 2015 to annually test all the backflow prevention devices installed at TCHC properties and to submit reports to the City of Toronto. As such, testing/inspection of all backflow prevention devices eliminates potential penalties under the Municipal code and is a proactive measure to ensure all devices are in proper working order.

The purpose of providing a Cross Connection Control Data Management Software (“CCCDMS”) that maximizes water quality and safety by managing backflow program data in a seamless, efficient workflow. The software shall support backflow device inventories, scheduling of backflow tests, obtaining test results in a timely manner, and reporting for complete cross connection control and compliance, in accordance with the requirements specified herein.
