Description: Description:The City is requesting SOI from vendors for services related to the management and creation of the records database for the City’s Backflow Prevention Program. The City of West Chicago is seeking an experienced backflow management firm to administer a cross-connection control program.

The goal of this strategy is to optimize system utilization for all users, improve the integrity and management of backflow devices, create staff efficiencies, reduce manual efforts, improve analytical capabilities, and improve customer service.

The offeror’s proposal specifically follows MWS Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for non‐passing backflow inspections. The offeror demonstrated significant experience performing certified backflow preventer testing work and regulatory compliance with cross‐connection program management. The municipal backflow management programs were well developed and specific to Metro Water Services Cross Connection Control plan.

EBMUD is soliciting proposals to replace its existing Backflow Prevention System applicable. EBMUD intends to award a professional services contract to implement the solution and a five-year contract for licensing with five options to renew for one-year terms to the Proposer(s) who best meets the EBMUD's requirements.
