Tampa Bay Water’s regional system for public drinking water supply includes surface water withdrawals for the Tampa Bypass Canal/Hillsborough River , Alafia River Water and Supply Facilities, and production of potable water from seawater at the Tampa Bay Seawater Desalination (Desal) Facility.

The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit responses from qualified firms to perform a detailed study on three groundwater sources including increasing Tampa Bay Water’s existing Consolidated Water Use Permit, a new wellfield in Eastern Pasco County using fresh and/or brackish groundwater and expanding the existing Tampa Bay Water Seawater Desalination Plant with brackish groundwater.
