Fabricate X-Band Cavity Radio Frquency Beam Position Monnitor (RFBPM) per SLAC SOW, Engineering Spec and Drawing for LCLS II (Linac Coherent Light Source II) Undulator System at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, Menlo Park, California
The Cable Assemblies will be used to carry beam position monitor radio frequency electrical signals through the cryostat insulating vacuum, from the liquid helium cooled cryogenic BPM feedthrough to the room temperature insulating vacuum to air feedthrough.
The APS Upgrade Project (APS-U) requires high performance X-Ray Beam Position Monitors (XBPM) to measure the beam orbit and trajectory. The APS-U XBPM drive system consists of a stepper motor, limit switches, a potentiometer, and air control equipment. This equipment will be controlled by electronics hardware located in the mezzanine. Nineteen high heat load front ends and sixteen canted undulator front ends front ends will be installed.
A typical raft assembly consists of an Ultra High Vacuum (UHV) chamber which includes an inline ion pump and beam position monitors (BPMs); Raft assemblies 1 and 4 include four electromagnet assemblies each, and Raft assemblies 2 and 3 include three electromagnet assemblies each. Each of the 36 dipole assemblies consist of one large bend electromagnet and a UHV assembly with support fixtures that are secured to the electromagnet body.
