Scope of Work The Village of Key Biscayne hereby requests bids from qualified contractor to provide green bicycle lanes and miscellaneous pavement markings on Crandon Boulevard.
GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS Installation of approximately 2.3 miles of shared lane markings and other bicycle boulevard items, such as signage, neighborhood traffic circles, speed cushions, limited bicycle lane markings, bicycle racks, and other associated work.
The project incorporates a “Complete Street” with completed sidewalk gaps, ladder-style crosswalks to increase visibility, bus turnouts to provide enhanced access to public transit, as well as Class II bicycle lanes.
Project scope includes reconstruction (stabilization, base, and asphalt) of the existing 2-lane and 3-lane roadway, installation of a southbound right turn lane on Hickory Street at Hibiscus Boulevard, miscellaneous widening, installation of medians, and milling & resurfacing.
/bike routes, bicycle repair and comfort stations, construction of a parking lot with bicycle amenities, construction of infill curb, gutter, and sidewalk, ADA access ramps/curb extension “bump outs”, and pavement rehabilitation.
