The purpose of the Project is to complete preliminary design and environmental review for the Reed Market corridor in preparation for the Reed Market Grade separation project at the BNSF Railroad crossing. The intent of the Project is to eliminate the at-grade crossing of the railroad through construction of a bridge which would put Reed Market Road over the railroad.

The project limits along Walnut Creek are from the Grayson Creek confluence to the BNSF Railroad bridge. Work consists of placing and compacting additional 3 to 4 feet of fill on top of the levees, constructing levee flood walls on either side of Imhoff Drive, constructing levee access ramps, and reconstructing a gravel road.
