Barrier Lake Day Use Area currently has a public boat launch, emergency boat launch and hand launch on‐site. The site underwent redevelopment in 2021. Since construction and though observations of this highly visited site, additional work is required to refurbish the hand launch and install a boat dock Alberta Parks has deemed the existing hand launch to be too steep and slippery for public use.

The project includes, but is not limited to: clearing and grubbing, water management, excavation and grading, installation of a boat launch and landing, rock slope protection, installation of aggregate base, installation of concrete, installation of asphalt, installation of piles, installation of a vault toilet, revegetation, and traffic control.A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at 10:00 a.m.
