The Pitney Bowes equipment and software are compatible with the existing mailroom equipment and software that will interface with the current network and function optimally with existing software. To purchase any other equipment will require the Government to buy an entirely new system and software, to replace equipment and software already in use. No other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements per FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
The 99th Contracting Squadron, Nellis AFB, NV contemplates awarding a single source purchase order as authorized by FAR 13.106-1(b) to Pitney Bowes, Inc. Pitney Bowes is in the business of providing mail machines, postage, and meter head maintenance. Currently Nellis AFB is operating utilizing Pitney Bowes equipment and a backup web based solution. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
