This contract is for a sole source Pitney Bowes Postal Machine to include maintenance and meter rental for USCENTCOM. Market research conducted by USCENTCOM and 6 CONS indicated that there are no small business vendors that could satisfy this requirement. No contractors responded to the Intent to Award Sole Source that was posted on SAM.gov from 29 Aug 2022 to 12 Sep 2022.

The requirement is for the following, for Pitney Bowes to maintain the existing PROO Meter DM125 / DM225 mailing station:The Vendor is to access to software updates, maintenance and service for our mail station equipment that was purchased from Pitney Bowes and legally transfer postal funds to our USPS postal meter.Pitney Bowes PROO Meter DM125 / DM225 was selected by USPS. 

Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) owns six Pitney Bowes mail processing systems.  Those systems process outgoing mail parcels and to apply applicable U.S. Postal Service (USPS) postage. As is the case with all Pitney Bowes mail processing system customers, NRC must purchase USPS postage for those outgoing parcels from United States Postal Service, doing business as U.S. Postal Service (The Pitney Bowes Bank, Inc.)
