The bridge will apply to instrumentation currently installed in the following facility listed below: VAMC Richmond (Hunter Holmes McGuire), 1201 Broad Rock Blvd., Richmond, VA 23249 This announcement is being issued for information purposes only.
Specifically, work includes but is not limited to: demolishing the existing concrete spillway, constructing a concrete labyrinth spillway, constructing a seepage control berm, extending the existing outlet conduit approximately 100 feet, refurbishing the outlet conduit and valves, constructing a new gatehouse with a pedestrian bridge, installing new instrumentation, and building a new concrete bridge over the spillway approach channel.
The work generally consists of the following: Demolition of the existing pumps, discharge piping, valves, electrical equipment and instrumentation control systems. Construction of three dry-pit submersible chopper pumps, flow meters, valves, piping, bridge crane, electrical equipment, instrumentation and control systems, ventilation fans, access ladder, site improvements, and structural modifications.
