Service will include the removal of the existing bridge structure with associated abutments for K870. The existing bridge is a single span steel beam bridge 31’-9” (+/-) long and 33’-1” (+/-) wide. The new bridge is a single span steel girder bridge, 40’-0” long and 43’-8 1⁄2” wide, with 40’-8” of clear roadway. The proposed typical section includes two 12’-0” lanes and shoulder widths that vary between 8’-0” and 8’-8”. The proposed bridge will be founded on steel H-piles.
