The requirement is for building a new data center (Room 0410) to replace the existing data center Room S100, which is located in the Sub Basement of Wing 1 South Building. The new data center will host the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) South and Jamie L. Whitten Buildings' networking and telecommunication services. Room 0410 is currently a vacant space and located a few feet below the Basement of Wing 4 South Building.

The portions of fiber optic distribution which are recommended for replacement based upon the evaluation will be incorporated into the design documents.This project will additionally renovate approximately 8500 square feet of basement floor area in the same building as the new data center combined hub.
