The purpose of the NSDUH is to provide current data on substance use and mental health prevalence for the U.S. civilian, non-institutionalized population (aged 12 and older) and each state, and to issue reports on survey results. The survey sample will support annual estimates of prevalence for the nation, the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and other US territories. The contractor will be required to: (1) design multi-mode data collection such as in-person and web; (2) provide sufficient numbers of interviewers and interviewer supervisory staff to screen approximately 152,000 dwelling units and conduct 68,460 interviews per survey year, using computer- assisted interviewing technology; (3) develop training procedures/mate...
