Components include eight (8) each Electrical Cable Test Set DIT-MCO model 2115 Master Switching Units (MSUs), eight (8) each DIT-MCO Multiple Test Terminal (MTT) Test Fixtures (P/N 7609533), and eight (8) each MTT Test Adapters (P/N 8290898). The solicitation will also include two (2) options for additional quantities. Each option will provide for two (2) each of the MSU, Test Fixture, and Test Adapter identified above.
This pre-solicitation notice is for a Twisted Pair Cable Test Set which shall be manufactured in accordance with Purchase Description SCAT 4465 dated 29 March 2016. The purchase description is attached to this pre-solicitation notice. The Government anticipates issuing a firm-fixed-price 5-year IDIQ contract with an estimated yearly quantity of 40 each. The Government plans to issue a single award.
Provide cable fire test support in the area of fire safety of submarine material systems for two types of Cat 5 cable described in Section 2.0 of this SOW. The purpose of this procurement is to obtain cable fire test services, along with the necessary technical personnel, consultants, and facilities to perform testing in accordance with MIL-DTIL-24643C Detail Specification: Cables, Electric, Low Smoke Halogen-Free, For Shipboard Use.
