SOU has limited prior asbestos data available for Central Hall from testing performed from 1990-2007. The prior test data is appended as Attachment C.
Central Hall is an academic building with two floors of classrooms and offices over a full basement. Central is the current home to the SOU School of Business and the departments of Mathematics, Languages, Humanities and Cultures. The building also contains general campus classrooms. Page 4 of 14 Central Hall was built in 1950 as the campus library and a general classroom building.
The Central Hall area-of-work contains approximately 41,000 gross square feet. The original building was constructed in 1950 as the new campus Library. In 1967 Central underwent a major renovation changing the building use into classrooms and offices. Central has remained substantially unchanged since 1967.
