The award of this RFP is contingent upon receipt of a Certified Local Government (CLG) Federal subgrant through the Maryland Historical Trust to complete a Historic Structure Report (HSR) for the Hickory Plains Farm, also known as the Griffith-Burrall Farm. If the grant is awarded, the Contractor agrees to comply with guidelines, requirements, terms, and conditions as outlined in the Notification of Grant Award documents after award and acceptance and incorporated into any contract and/or task order utilizing the grant funding.

The Work of this Contract consists of constructing a historic halfway homestead landscape, including but not limited to, earthwork, concrete work, utilities, irrigation, landscaping, electric, paths, installation of nature play equipment and other park amenities, and restoration to anything damaged during construction, throughout the project area as described in the drawings and specifications. The Project must achieve final completion by February 6, 2024. Notice to Proceed is anticipated to take place on August 1, 2023, based on contractor availability. The Project must be substantially complete in one hundred and fifty nine (159) calendar days, and finally complete in one hundred eighty nine (189) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
The project includes rehabilitation of the roof and related repairs for the Carriage House as part of Farmstead’s core historic area; The construction of the Carriage house took place early-to-mid-19 th century. The goal of the project is to refresh the life cycle of the building and to keep it in service in support of the Alliance and Township’s mission to preserve and sustain the property for community use.
