WRC was also recently awarded an additional $2 million by EPA for its Brownfields Cleanup Revolving Loan Fund. These funds allow WRC to continue its successful Windham Region Brownfields Reuse Initiative (WRBRI), which was established in 2000 with the goal of redeveloping properties that have been abandoned or underused due to real or perceived contamination. WRC will prequalify consultants to assist with WRBRI for a 5-year period.
