The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, andother items necessary to perform invasive species clearing on 100 acres of Lake Dardanelle and 65 acres of Ozark Lake. Vegetation shall be cut using hand tools and/or mechanical hand tools (chainsaws) and stumps treated with herbicide to prevent re-sprouting. Remnants of cut vegetation may be left on site.

One grant element is the removal and eradication of invasive species and vegetation in an approximately 1.2-acre area of the Northfield Town Forest. This project consists of two elements. The first element is the cutting of the invasive species and other vegetation to knee high level to allow for pesticide application and for volunteers to maintain and control future growth. This element shall be completed by 3/31/23.

The purpose of the EQ portion of the work is to protect threatened and endangered (T&E) waterbird species on Bellows Air Force Station (BAFS) to reduce threats posed by species such as, but not limited to, feral cats, feral pigs, Indian mongoose, rats, mice and introduced bird species.
