The Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA) Activity is expected to be a $16 million, Four-year Award (2022-2026) award which is designed to introduce and promote climate smart technologies for sustainable growth of the agriculture sector and create resilience in communities associated with agriculture.

CSAP links MDARs 3 separate water, energy, and climate grants together into one application- AEEP, ACRE and ENER.
The activity will increase agricultural productivity of staple crops in a climate smart manner that is efficient and sensitive to the risks Armenia’s productive capacity faces. The activity will also expand agriculture sector opportunities for women and youth, who are critical to the government’s priority to modernize, innovate and digitize the sector.

Proposals should focus on the resiliency of California agriculture by addressing climate smart agriculture through targeted resource concerns. The target resource concerns include: address climate resiliency and drought, plant productivity and forest health, air quality, water quality, water quantity, soil health/soil quality, wildlife habitat, and outreach.
