Subsequent amendments to this legislation designated NIA as the primary Federal agency on Alzheimer’s disease research.The Institute's mission is to support and conduct genetic, biological, clinical, behavioral, social, and economic research on aging; foster the development of research and clinician scientists in aging; provide research resources; and disseminate information about aging and advances in research to the public, health care professionals
research requirements accomplished through the performance of clinical studies and programs.
Travis Air Force Base (AFB) David Grant Medical Center/Clinical Investigation Facility (CIF) is responsible for assisting with the execution of DoD medical research requirements accomplished through the performance of clinical studies and programs.
The Contractor will also provide technical expertise and various staff members to ClinicalResearch Program groups stationed at the National Institutes of Health in their Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland in support of the clinical studies conducted by them. These staff will include research physicians, nurses, study coordinators, and other support personnel.
The contractor will also be tasked in providing comprehensive clinical site and study monitoring services for the VRC's clinical research efforts as well as regulatory support and compliance services.This IDIQ will be administered and used primarily to support Vaccine Clinical Research initiatives.
