Agency for Global Media (USAGM) seeks a cloud-based TV channel playout and delivery platform to pilot and test market one or two new linear television channels for one year.  This one-year pilot will be considered a technical feasibility evaluation as part of USAGM’s on-going cloud broadcasting technology research and development modernization efforts.

Kessel Run is pursuing a modernization effort which seeks to leverage the advantages of Cloud computing, Platform as a Service (PaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and adoption of a continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipeline in order to get capability out to the field more quickly under a new contract referred to as the GADN.

The previous modernization plan would incur overlapping hosting costs at both EPA's NCC and the AWS cloud for 3 - 5 years until the modernization effort would be complete.  After Phase III modernization, beta testing and rollout, the modernized Envirofacts and associated applications would be publicly released in the cloud. The legacy version of Envirofacts at the NCC cannot be shut down until it is ready for public release in AWS.
