This is a presolicitation notice synopsizing the upcoming release of a solicitation (request for quote) for a services contract VHA Network Contracting Office 5 will be issuing a solicitation for the provision of coding auditing services for the Veterans Health Administration s Compliance and Business Integrity Office.

The potential source does not merely subcontract the medical coding services and acts solely as prime contractor to provide all services directly to its customers and/or the Veterans Health Administration. The potential source holds all licenses/certifications and insurance required to provide medical coding services to the State of North Carolina.

Veterans Health Affairs, Network Contracting Office 5, is issuing this request for information/sources sought notice in order to identify sources that have the resources and capabilities to provide external coding auditing services for the Veterans Health Administration s Compliance and Business Integrity Office.

Non- Veterans Affairs purchased care coding utilizes the non-Veterans Affairs invoice, as well as submitted clinical documentation if received. Outpatient Coding: All coding is to be completed within five (5) calendar days of the date coding is assigned. Outpatient encounters include face-to-face encounters and other occasions of service that are captured within the Patient Care Encounter.
