PROJECT DESCRIPTIONThis project is to design and perform the abatement of known select asbestos containing materials (ACM) and reconstruction and finish of historically significant columns to include the structural analysis of the existing steel columns and concrete deck at the Paul G. Rogers Courthouse.
Further the DB Contractor shall design, plan and perform the abatement for ACM containing cladding materials and mastics for 68 columns and properly dispose of the hazardous and non-hazardous materials properly. The DB Contractor shall also provide four (4) conceptual design options, one full design option, and estimated pricing for each reconstruction/refinish options for the 68 columns for GSA SMEs and Historical Preservation review.

Asbestos abatement of existing beams and columns, application of new fireproofing and column cladding. New platform and trackway lighting, accessing conduit throughout SFMTA platform above. Optional work, such as construction of an ADA accessible ramp in Hallidie Plaza, and removal and replacement of the platform tiles, plus benches, may be included, at the discretion of the District, subject to available funding.
