Contractors should submit pricing for the mock requirement on attachment “Solicitation-Instructions to Complete-Terms and Conditons-W9124X22Q0003-Commercial Meals for NVNG" section "Instructions to Offerors”Each BPA call will be competed.  Issuance of BPA calls shall be made on the basis that is most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. 

Each meal shall be shelf-stable with a minimum shelf-life of 10 months at 70 degrees F, minimum of 800 kcal per meal/maximum 1460 kcal per meal, maximum 13g of saturated fat, maximum 2g of trans fat, total fat range between 10%-35% of meal, maximum 1000 g of sodium, protein range between 10%-25% of meal, and no more than 60% of meal comprised of carbohydrates. 

There will be no available onsite kitchen or area for meal prep.  Food shall be prepared in a commercial kitchen in compliance with State and local health regulations.  All Contractor furnished items for the requirement will need to be disposable.

The purpose of this ration is to provide an alternative operational training meal in lieu of "sack lunches" and catered commercial meals to organizations that engage in inactive duty training (IDT) for usage in situations where employment of traditional operational ration meals is not mandated.
